The Challenge

Mad Haiku, of Mad Haiku fame has challenged me to complete the following "name three" questionnaire. In light of the fact that a couple of people in my little blog circle have recently composed the "100 things about me" list, I present to you this somewhat shorter version thereof.

Three screen names you have had:
girl_spit
peanut_bladder
smurf_tits

Three things you like about yourself:
My obsession with helping people
My brain (however small and unwrinkly, she's fun at parties)
My ability to keep laughing

Three things you don't like about yourself:
My obsession with helping people
My pomposity (occasional but very ugly)
My laziness

Three things that scare you:
The sensation of falling
The sneaking feeling that I will never live up to my potential
Fish brushing up against me when I swim in the ocean

Three of your everyday essentials:
Talking with my husband
Caffeine
Cigarettes

Three things you are wearing right now:
Pajama pants
Wifebeater
Tiny silver hoop earrings (thought I'd say undies, didn't ya?)

Three of your favorite songs:
"D'yer Mak'er" by Led Zeppelin
"Add It Up" by the Violent Femmes
"I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" by U2

Three new things you want to try in the next twelve months:
Living in the same house (country, zip code, neighborhood) with my husband
Writing a novel
Tai Chi

Three things I want in a relationship:
Love
Support
Understanding

Three things you can't do without:
My husband (do we see a pattern? I admit I'm rather fond of him...)
My family (I don't consider moving to a different country doing without them. Haven't you people heard of a telephone?)
Pen and paper (I count this as one because, well, I just have to)

Three places you want to go on vacation:
Greece
Ireland
Vienna (again)

Three things you just can't do:
Skydive
Write decent rhymes into my poetry
Drink scotch (blech!)

Three kids' names:
Milos (my kids have to have Serbian names)
Luka
Magnolia (this one came to me in a weirdass dream, but I'm never going to use it. Mostly because it's not Serbian, and well, it's just a weird name for a kid.)

Three things you want to do before you die:
Finish writing a novel
Have kids
See my brother talk to my dad (civilly)

Three celebrity crushes:
Adrien Brody
Johnny Depp
James Dean

Three people I nominate to complete this exercise:
JumpUpMy of JumpUpMy.com
Cadiz12 of Do They Read Obituaries In Hell?
Omar of OmarPhillips.net

Of course, you're not actually obligated to complete this task, but it doesn't take as much effort as the "100 things" list, so, you know, bonus.

Pompous? You? No way. You're like the least pompous person on the Net.

Many, many things that make you likeable, Girlspit.

Some of them I relate to...not that I'm saying it makes me
likeable :-D

Oh, and I may be accepting your challenge. I had started a 100 things list, and I'm up to the mid 50's. If ideas don't start flowing soon, I'm bagging it in favor of this name three questionnaire. Had I seen this first, I wouldn't have started torturing myself to come up with 100 things.

Is this just a backhanded way of telling me I need complete another blog entry??? Okay, Okay....

In retrospect, this would have been a much better way to go. Plenty of unnecessary personal details to reveal, and no one threatens your life because you wasted a lot of their time. Plus with my list, as with everything else in my life, I feel it necessary to explain everything that I think needs explaining. It’s weird though because in real life, I’m a man of few words. My fingers though, they love to type.

i too have had a working 100 list since day one of blogging, but have never been happy enough with it to post.

however, since i've discovered that 1glorious really is stalking me and has given jon a sickening number of my entries, i realize i will just look like a biter. so i accept your challenge, but i'll have to do it on a day when i'm not posting at 4:21 a.m.

oh yeah, that fish thing is creepy. one time i had something with teeth taste my foot. good thing it didn't like my flavor.

*shudder* Cadiz. I think it's just the fact that you don't know what is touching you, whether it's harmless or not.

cadiz12 said...

EXACTLY. eiw. i can still feel the teeth around my foot, clamping down ever so gently.

gives me shivers

Why didn't you mention the time you caught that shark on a Baby Ruth bar?

girlspit said...

You are getting old. That was a 3 Musketeers bar.

Guyana-Gyal said...

Baby Ruth, Musketeers...please tell us about the shark.

Gloria Glo said...

I s'pose the 3 list would be less painful than the 100...but I'm still traumatized. That doesn't stop me from nagging others (*cough* Omar *cough*) to finish their lists.

girlspit - 'smurf-tits'? LOL! Honey, you should get paid to create usernames.

i miss you, girlspit. hope you're having fun in canada.

In case anyone is wondering, I have girlspit locked in my Canadian basement and am not permitting her to blog. Her cooking and baking and tunnel digging leave her very tired as of late. Hopefully she will start blogging soon

Dad said...

Glad to hear that you are taking such good care of her.

cadiz12 said...

i hope, at the very least, that you're giving her some cornbread.

Boy was I glad to see this web page come up. I had tried to get to it a couple of times last weekend and it came up as no such website so I was afraid that you had bailed. (How's that for a run on sentence?)

omar said...

Phew! Good to know that she's OK, even if it's in a basement.

Dad said...

Okay, so enough already with the fixing up the house, let's get back to the blog

DrawingDead said...

Yeah, I agree with your dad. My wife is desperately in need of some Canadian contact from you!

Hope all is going well with both of you guys

Make no mistake: Our mission at Tip Top Equities is to sift through the thousands of underperforming companies out there to find the golden needle in the haystack. A stock worthy of your investment. A stock with the potential for big returns. More often than not, the stocks we profile show a significant increase in stock price, sometimes in days, not months or years. We have come across what we feel is one of those rare deals that the public has not heard about yet. Read on to find out more.

Nano Superlattice Technology Inc. (OTCBB Symbol: NSLT) is a nanotechnology company engaged in the coating of tools and components with nano structured PVD coatings for high-tech industries.

Nano utilizes Arc Bond Sputtering and Superlattice technology to apply multi-layers of super-hard elemental coatings on an array of precision products to achieve a variety of physical properties. The application of the coating on industrial products is designed to change their physical properties, improving a product's durability, resistance, chemical and physical characteristics as well as performance. Nano's super-hard alloy coating materials were especially developed for printed circuit board drills in response to special market requirements

The cutting of circuit boards causes severe wear on the cutting edge of drills and routers. With the increased miniaturization of personal electronics devices the dimensions of holes and cut aways are currently less than 0.2 mm. Nano coats tools with an ultra thin coating (only a few nanometers in thickness) of nitrides which can have a hardness of up to half that of diamond. This has proven to increase tool life by almost ten times. Nano plans to continue research and development into these techniques due to the vast application range for this type of nanotechnology

We believe that Nano is a company on the move. With todays steady move towards miniaturization we feel that Nano is a company with the right product at the right time. It is our opinion that an investment in Nano will produce great returns for our readers.
